Weaver Middle School Honors Night
During her school’s honor night, Jenna received an academic achievement award for maintaining a GPA of 4.0 or higher throughout her entire 7th grade school year.
Headmaster’s Award
Alyssa received many awards during her school’s award ceremony – Outstanding Academic Effort, Language Arts Effort, Academic Performance, Dean’s List… But the most prestigious by far was the Headmaster’s Award. As described on the award itself, it recognizes a student whose all around performance demonstrates a genuine understanding and commitment to the values Marburn strives to convey to its students: courage, truthfulness, persistence, hard work, personal improvement, academic achievement, leadership, service, and citizenship. The award is the highest any student at Marburn can receive, and it is only given to two students each year. After she received the award, she kept getting congratulated by everyone, and didn’t know exactly why. The honor of the award may have been lost on her, but definitely not on everyone else, including her parents.
