Subject: Discovery Day

Alyssa’s class has been learning about different countries for the past month.  Each student in the class was placed into a small group and assigned a country to learn about.  Alyssa’s group was assigned China.  On discovery day, the students presented all of the information they learned to their fellow classmates.  Parents  were also invited to see everything the students have been up to for the past month.

The outside of their classroom was decorated as an airplane with her two teachers as the pilot and copilot, and all the students passengers:

Bowling Night

Our neighborhood was treated to a free night of bowling on Tuesday night. We all had fun even though none of us bowled particularly well that night.

Ice Cream

While Dana was rocking out at the Bon Jovi concert with her friend, the girls and I had our own night on the town. Dinner at Frisch’s and ice cream at Handel’s, where they were very generous with their “single” scoops.

Hayden Falls

We took advantage of the nice weather on the weekend by visiting some trails close to home. Jenna decided to skip it.
