We got a rare treat today. LaRosa’s was in town with their mobile pizza kitchen for their “perfect pizza meet and eat”. They were giving out free slices of cheese or pepperoni pizza and meeting with potential Columbus franchise partners.
The event was only from 11-2, and wasn’t at a location that was convenient for Dana to leave work. I know how much she likes LaRosa’s, and how disappointed she would be to miss her free slice, so I asked if I could bring some home to her, and the very gracious server gave me an entire pizza. (She was a lot happier than she looks in the picture.)

Band Concert
Jenna is learning how to play the trumpet this year in school. We make sure she practices as soon as she gets home from school before Dana and I get home from work. She had her first concert this week, and we were pleasantly surprised by how the band sounded.
I like this picture. This is the look Jenna gave me when she caught me photographing her.

It’s the end of another soccer season.
Simchat Torah
We celebrated Simchat Torah at Sunday School as we do every year, by unrolling the entire torah, and then rolling it back up again. As always, this makes me a little nervous with so many small hands on such a delicate object. This year was even more nerve racking. The torah that we used was rescued from Europe during the Holocaust and then restored.
Jenna’s !2th birthday party
For Jenna’s birthday party, she invited 7 of her friends for a sleepover. They ate pizza, had ice cream and cupcakes, and then went outside to have a silly string fight. Then it was time to watch a scary movie. She wanted to see a movie that she had never seen before that would frighten her and her friends. It was tough to find a PG rated film that fit that criteria, but we finally settled on Twilight Zone the Movie. It was fun listening as the girls screamed at the scary parts.
Pumpkin Patch
Alyssa and her class took a field trip to a local pumpkin patch this week.
Here she is with some of her friends:
