Subject: Columbus Clippers Game

We went to the see the Columbus Clippers take on the Toledo Mud Hens on Friday.  The seats were great, but watching a AAA baseball game pales in comparison to a big league game.  Alyssa and Megan got bored pretty early on, so Dana took them on a walk around the stadium while Jenna and I watched the game.

Alyssa desperately wanted a player to throw her a baseball, so she went down by the Clipper’s bullpen while a pitcher was warming up with the catcher.  Once the pitcher was loose, the catcher threw Alyssa the ball, which she actually caught in her glove!

New school orientation

Alyssa started her new school last week. As a team building exercise, she and her classmates were given a box of spaghetti noodles, tape, and an egg. They were instructed to create a tower out of the spaghetti noodles that would support the egg for 5 seconds. The taller the tower, the better. All of the teams of students ended up creating pretty impressive towers, and there were no cracked eggs.

Health and Fitness Expo

Last weekend we returned the the 10TV Health and Fitness Expo. The girls had a lot of fun with the rock climbing wall. They each did it 3 times, making it to the top each time.

They also enjoyed running in the giant hamster wheel.
