From: Brian Mason <bmason6@columbus.rr.com>Date: August 26, 2012 8:00:38 PM EDTSubject: Columbus Clippers GameWe went to the see the Columbus Clippers take on the Toledo Mud Hens on Friday. The seats were great, but watching a AAA baseball game pales in comparison to a big league game. Alyssa and Megan got bored pretty early on, so Dana took them on a walk around the stadium while Jenna and I watched the game.Alyssa desperately wanted a player to throw her a baseball, so she went down by the Clipper’s bullpen while a pitcher was warming up with the catcher. Once the pitcher was loose, the catcher threw Alyssa the ball, which she actually caught in her glove!

First day of school
All 3 girls are going to 3 different schools, which start at 3 different times. Hence, no group photo.
Megan and her friend from across the street are in the same 1st grade class.
Dodgeball
Lately, the girls have been really into playing dodgeball in the backyard. It’s usually Jenna and Alyssa on a team versus Megan and Me.
New school orientation
Alyssa started her new school last week. As a team building exercise, she and her classmates were given a box of spaghetti noodles, tape, and an egg. They were instructed to create a tower out of the spaghetti noodles that would support the egg for 5 seconds. The taller the tower, the better. All of the teams of students ended up creating pretty impressive towers, and there were no cracked eggs.
Health and Fitness Expo part 2
The kids also had fun bowling.
Jenna was a natural at shooting a bow and arrow. She got 2 bull’s eyes right off the bat.
Here the girls are standing in front of Chopper 10 after they got their hair curled.
Health and Fitness Expo
Last weekend we returned the the 10TV Health and Fitness Expo. The girls had a lot of fun with the rock climbing wall. They each did it 3 times, making it to the top each time.
They also enjoyed running in the giant hamster wheel.
Having some fun with some CBS promos (Too bad we don’t watch either of these shows.):
Clearwater Beach part 2
We figured out a way to be more successful in catching fish.
Clearwater Beach
Having fun trying to catch fish:
Jenna finally was able to catch one!
Clearwater Beach at Sunset
Clearwater Marine Aquarium
Alyssa has been a huge fan of Winter the dolphin ever since she saw the movie, “Dolphin Tale”. So, as a surprise for the kids, we visited the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, where she lives, and where the movie was filmed.
