Visiting the corpse flower at the OSU greenhouse
We visited the rare 5-foot-6-inch tall titan arum nicknamed the corpse flower at the OSU biological sciences greenhouse on Easter afternoon. It is a rare plant from the Indonesian rain forest that smells strongly of rotting meat when it blooms. It stays in bloom for only 2 days.

A much better day for a soccer game
The weather sure was nicer for Alyssa’s soccer game, than it was for Jenna’s yesterday; but the parent sitting next to me was a real jerk. He kept criticizing his daughter and the rest of the team whenever a mistake was made. He was also dropping F-bombs as if he had money on the game.
